Peter Aylmore

Since completing his training as a solicitor with Dickinson Dees (now Bond Dickinson) then one of the larger firms in the North of England Peter has had experience in advising clients and attending court on their behalf to represent them in various legal matters including criminal matters, divorce and family matters, general litigation claims including a mine gas escape claim, various personal injury claims as well as dealing with general real estate and property matters both residential and commercial.

However, for some years now he has been devoting his attention mainly to the following matters:-

1. General litigation work including a significant claim which Peter was successful in bringing against a Local Authority relating to an escape of mine gas and which included a substantial amount of complex expert evidence.

2. Personal injury claims and fatal accident claims.

3. Property sales and purchases both residential and commercial.

4. Leases both residential and commercial property.

5. Wills, probates and powers of attorney.

Away from work Peter likes to devote his spare time to DIY projects (some of which he never finishes!), trips to the theatre and spending time with his family.

Mark Davies


Mark started his legal career with a firm of solicitors in London before moving to the North East to join the firm as a trainee solicitor in 1981. He qualified as a solicitor in 1985 and became a partner in the firm in 1986.  Since qualifying, Mark has gained a wealth of experience appearing in Courts and Tribunals to represent clients in criminal cases and employment claims. He is an accredited Police Station Representative and Court Duty Solicitor, having represented clients in murder cases, and other offences involving fatal injuries.

Mark also deals extensively with Wills, administration of estates, and trusts and regularly advises clients in relation to Court of Protection matters and Lasting Powers of Attorney. 

In addition to his work in private practice, Mark has served as an independent board member of a local housing association and is currently a trustee member of a local charity. 

In his spare time, Mark enjoys singing with a choir which performs regularly at the Sage Gateshead, as well as playing guitar and piano, very badly. He also has a keen interest in sport.
